We've signed the Safe Parking for London Cyclists pledge — and we want to tell you why. Every year, around 40,000 bikes are stolen in London. Only 2% are ever recovered. Too many cyclists give up altogether — not because they want to, but because they don't feel safe leaving their bike anywhere. A large share of London's cycle parking sits on privately managed land: buildings like ours, workplaces, shopping centres, campuses. When those spaces are insecure or missing, cyclists pay the price. We believe private space owners need to be part of the solution. So we've committed to reviewing our cycle parking, improving where we can, and working with others to make our spaces safer.
